Our Nido 2 children begin to enjoy more independence in the classroom environment, they explore, and they start learning the foundations. The program continues the development of the young child in a specifically prepared environment, allowing for personal experience, growth, independence and social development. Special attention is paid to the sensitive periods for movement, language and sensory development. Materials and activities are carefully chosen to allow each child to develop at his/her own rate.Activities are positioned around the room, each with a particular theme, skill, or subject of value to children’s development.

The Nido environment offers a classroom rich in opportunities for physical, sensorial, intellectual, and social learning. Children may spend their days learning new words, new skills in physical coordination, and new sights and smells by cutting up fruits or vegetables. The environment, materials, and culture of the classroom are all carefully coordinated to offer children multiple opportunities to grow and mature during a critical time when their bodies and minds are developing at the swiftest pace in all of life.
